It was a slow grinding week in the blogger world as the most of the big tournament players prepare for the beginning of FTOPS X which kicks off next week. There are a few interesting writeups out there plus a blogger tournament giving away a seat to FTOPS Event #24.
What happened last week?
Full Tilt’s resident professional writer/blogger/poker player Michael Craig has writeups profiling the 3 players representing Full Tilt Poker at the final table of the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event. He’s also running an essay contest where you can win some entries into FTOPS X and maybe some loot.

Author Lou Krieger wonders “Did Harrah’s Mangle the Publicity Run-Up to the WSOP November Final Table?”
To really make this three-month hiatus work, it’s my opinion that a publicity blitz should have been unleashed early—right after they shuttered things up at the Rio—and it should have been hard and heavy so that there was time for the players to capitalize on their impending final-table play, and time to get publicity for the event before most of the news would predictably be buried in a slew of pre-presidential election coverage in late October and early November.

Full Tilt team member Clonie Gowen won the 2008 World Poker Open Championship in Tunica, MS and the record for the biggest online cash pot was torn apart 4 times last weekend. I would suggest checking out those high limit tables while you are grinding your way through the weekend.

What’s happening this week?
There are two blogger hosted tournaments this weekend. The weekly Brit Blogger game will be adding a seat to FTOPS Event #7 to the prize pool and the first Poker From the Rail freeroll is running tomorrow afternoon.
Update: I mis-read the FTOPS schedule and did not realize that Event #7 was a rebuy tournament. I am switching up the FTOPS seat awarded to this weeks game to a Event #24 seat for the $120+9 Knockout on November 16th.
